Vines, wine, family & friends
A website to share a unique and beautiful South American wine-making journey
La Hermandad is part of a co-op vineyard, The Vines of Mendoza, located in Uco Valley, Argentina.
In 2012, the Hermans visited Uco Valley and fell in love. The client wanted a website that could help them share their magical, and scenic, wine-and-vine journey!
They often share their vineyard with visiting friends and family, they also wanted to share it with others unable to join.

My Role
Design pages with plenty of opportunity to showcase the gorgeous photographs & leverage these photographs to tell a story.
It was important for the client to edit the site, so I developed the website using a custom Wordpress theme.
Goals
- Tell their story using their beautiful imagery and body copy
- They wanted to self-manage content, so I provided resources, training, & page templates
Overview & outcomes
The client had a well-established vision and was prepared with body copy and images. This helped guide the voice and tone. My job was to help the client pull this experience together in a way that maintained their authenticity.
I provided wireframes and the client provided feedback. After a few rounds, I worked on producing a HTML prototype to provide the "full picture."
Because it was important for the client to be able to self-edit body copy, images, and add additional pages, we determined a website built on Wordpress (with a custom theme) was the best course of action.
Once approved, we transitioned the prototype to a custom Wordpress theme. The client was able to hand-pick their visual/brand identity and retain the ability to edit content!
